Drill Deck Privacy Policy

Effective September 20, 2026

Drill Deck ("the App") is published by Jeremy Miter, doing business as Strike Apps ("we"). The short version: your training stays on your device, we run no ads, no analytics, and no tracking, and the one optional online feature stores a callsign and your scores — nothing else. 1. Data that stays on your device

These never leave your device unless you export or share them yourself:

• Your training record: logged sessions, scores, notes, after-action ratings, and favorites.
• Your district: the boundaries you draw, your fire house, and your target hazards.
• Your preferences, crew seat assignments, and shift-reminder schedule. Reminders are local notifications scheduled on the device.

2. Location

If you allow it, the App uses your location while the App is open to centre the district map on where you are. Your location is not sent to us and is not stored by us.

3. Link Up (optional)

Link Up is off until you sign in. If you use it, our server stores:

• An account identifier — the opaque user identifier Apple gives us through Sign in with Apple. We do not request or receive your name or email.
• Your callsign — the name you choose, shown to other users.
• Results you post — which incident or drill was run, its difficulty, your score and time, and challenge or room entries. Drill results from Train Together rooms are shared only with that room.
• Reports you file about another user's callsign.

Our server also handles your IP address in the course of answering requests, as any server does, in short-lived logs used for security and troubleshooting.

We do not receive your training record, your district, your location, or your contacts through Link Up.

4. How we use data

Only to run Link Up: to sign you in, show leaderboards, challenges and rooms, and to moderate callsigns.

5. What we do NOT do

• No advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
• No tracking across apps or websites.
• We do not sell or share personal data.

6. Third parties

• Apple — subscriptions are processed by Apple; we never see your payment details. Sign in with Apple authenticates Link Up accounts. Maps, address search, directions, and Look Around imagery are provided by Apple Maps, which receives the map areas and searches the App requests, under Apple's privacy policy.
• DigitalOcean — hosts the Link Up server in the United States.

7. Retention & deletion

On-device data stays until you delete it or remove the App. Link Up data is kept while your account exists. Link Up → Account → Delete Account and Scores in the App deletes your account, callsign, and all posted results from our server immediately; you may also email us to request deletion.

8. Security

Link Up traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Sign-in tokens are kept in the iOS Keychain.

9. Children

The App is intended for firefighters and fire-service trainees and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

10. Changes

We will post changes here and update the effective date.
